Flu vaccinations 2021

The following information is subject to change dependent on any and all advice provided by the JCVI for potential COVID-19 booster vaccines.

If you are aged over 50 you are eligible for a flu vaccine. Please contact the surgery if you have not already had an appointment arranged at one of our clinics as we have added ad hoc clinics throughout the season.

Subject to deliveries, we will be holding Saturday pre-bookable clinics for all patients over 18 at the Ilkley site on:

  • 6th November 2021

Our Grassington site will be holding Saturday pre-bookable clinics on:

  • 13th November 2021

If you are housebound, please contact the surgery to let us know that you want a vaccination and a member of our nursing team will be in contact to arrange a date to come out and vaccinate you.

Antenatal clinic

If you need to arrange a midwife appointment please ring 01535 292411.

Child health

Baby checks are done by GPs during routine surgery hours. All children and young people eligible for the immunisations programme are invited by the practice as required.

Coronary heart disease

Prevention clinics are held weekly with the practice nurse and we operate a recall system for routine monitoring.

Diabetic clinic

Routine review appointments are arranged with the practice nurse via our recall system.

Family planning

For contraceptive advice, implants, pre-IUD assessments, IUD fittings, checks and removals.

Family planning advice is also available via the Locala service on 030 3330 9500.

Minor surgery

Many minor operations can be undertaken by our doctors by prior arrangement. Clinics are usually held three times a week.


You may make an appointment for the clinics which are held Monday to Friday, 08.00–09.00. Home visits for phlebotomy may be arranged by phoning the surgery.

Travel vaccinations

We offer a full travel service. You will need an appointment with the practice nurse to ascertain which vaccinations may be required. The nurse will initiate your travel vaccination course at this appointment. For information regarding other types of vaccinations please contact your GP’s secretary. Download a list of fees.

Fit note

You do not require a doctor’s sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. If you are sick for more than seven days, your employer can ask you to give them some form of medical evidence to support payment of SSP (statutory sick pay). More information is available on the website.

Well Man clinic

Appointments may be arranged with a practice nurse.

Well Woman clinic

We operate a recall system for cervical smear tests at the recommended intervals and provide ‘Well Woman’ checks on request.

Private fees

Some services we can provide are not covered by the NHS, for example travel claim forms. Private medical examinations are carried out by prior arrangement. Download a list of private fees here.
