IG Medical are a looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and forward thinking GP to join our team across two sites in Ilkley, a spa town on the edge of the Dales, and the beautiful market town of Grassington.
We are a successful five partner PMS practice with a total patient list of 18,000.
We host a range of services including dermatology and musculoskeletal medicine and are a training practice with GP registrars across both sites. We also have a diverse practice team including an advanced care practitioner, two pharmacists, and first contact physiotherapists.
We have a specialist interest in frailty, and are responsible for the care of 400 care home beds as part of the Primary Care Network (PCN) Enhanced Health in Care Homes. We also have a GP training post in frailty. Having an interest in supporting training is desirable.
In 2020–21 we successfully applied for a Post-CCT fellowship position and are hoping to continue to offer this opportunity to applicants who are suitable for this scheme over the next 1–2 years.
The practice is an integral part of our community with an active patient participation group and we provide first class patient care which is evidenced by our excellent feedback.
We work collaboratively with neighbouring practices and we are closely engaged with our PCN, CCG and colleagues in the voluntary sector and in public health/social services.
The practice has a reputation for being ahead of the game with regard to the challenges of primary care and we working hard to make GPs lives as easy as possible. You will have the opportunity to become a key player in our plans for the future.
All GPs at IG Medical will be offered:
- Starting rate £10,250 plus indemnity
- After 5 years’ service session increase by 5%
- After 10 years’ service session increase by 10%
Skills attracting extra sessional rates:
- Training £1k per session
- Minor surgery £1k per session
- All additional roles attract protected time for the length of time role is taken on.
You will be paid an annual pay uplift (e.g. in line with inflation and, if available, in line with the Government’s decision on the pay of general practitioners following the recommendation of the Doctors’ and Dentists’ Review Body). If received after 1 April, you will receive back pay to 1 April.
